The Austin Heights Neighbourhood Plan will outline a vision for the area that will help guide change over the next 20 years.

What's next for Austin Heights? The Austin Heights Neighbourhood Plan (AHNP) staff report was deferred from the July 26, 2010 Land Use and Economic Development Committee (LUEDC) Meeting to a LUEDC workshop session to be scheduled for September. The meeting will be open to the public and more information on the meeting time and date will be posted closer to the meeting date.

A link to the staff report which will be reviewed by the LUEDC at the September session can be found on this webpage under the What's New Section. The report summarizes the feedback received at the Public Open House on May 11, 2010 and recommends next steps for the planning process, including a recommendation for further public review this Fall. It is anticipated that the draft Neighbourhood Plan will be forwarded to Council in the Fall 2010/Winter 2011 for Council’s consideration of first reading and referral to a Public Hearing in the Fall 2010/Winter 2011.
