On April 16, 2007, Council adopted an updated Affordable Housing Strategy. The process to update the 1994 Strategy was completed in partnership with a community-based, multi-stakeholder Advisory Group.
The Affordable Housing Strategy establishes specific actions that the City will take to address housing affordability through a multi-year program. An annual progress report will be produced in order to track the effectiveness of the Strategy.

Mobile Home Park Redevelopment Tenant Assistance Policy
In 2006, Council adopted a policy to assist residents who are displaced by the redevelopment of their mobile home park.
Affordable Housing Reserve Fund
In January 2009, Council adopted the Affordable Housing Reserve Fund. The Fund will allow the City to plan for contributions to affordable housing projects.
