Dogs Available for Adoption

Cali

Spayed Female, Lab Mix, Adult

Cali is currently in foster care, please contact the shelter for more info.

Cali is a dog who will need an experienced owner, she needs a confident handler who she can’t walk all over! She is an active and energetic dog who needs to be kept busy both mentally and physically.  She loves to play fetch and go for walks

Cali is a friendly dog who tends to make friends with everyone she meets. The only thing that Cali really doesn’t like…is motorcycles! They scare her and she tends to bark and lunge at them.

Cali needs to be the only pet in the home.

Kiri

Spayed Female, Terrier Mix, Adult

Kiri and Koko came to the Shelter after their dad passed away suddenly. Both girls were extremely upset and we have given them some time to adjust before putting them up for adoption.  We believe that the girls would be best seperated, as they are doing much better apart.

Kiri is very energetic and acts like a puppy. She is extremely affectionate and loves to shower you with kisses! Kiri would do well in a home with a fairly active owner who wants to go for long walks in the park. Kiri needs some obedience classes with her new family and to work on her leash skills. Kiri gets along with some dogs, but can be very vocal when she plays. She would need to be introduced to any dog in the home prior to adoption.

Kiri requires a special diet due to a disorder of her pancreas, and will require it for life. She is also on a powder enzyme to help her digest her food that she requires up to three times a day. Luckily Kiri loves to eat and has no problem taking her medicine.

Jinny

Spayed Female, Jindo, Adult

Jinny is a young and energetic dog with a big personality. Jinny is likely between 10-12 months and still has a lot of puppy manners. She will need to attend basic obedience classes with her new family to teach her the basics and fine tune her manners. Jinny gets along very well with other dogs and leaps and bounds around them. Jinny would be best in a home without small children as she can get a little mouthy when she gets excited and may overwhelm a child. An adult home with some dog experience would be best.

Jindo's can be a challenging breed and we recommend doing some research prior to adoption.

Koko

Spayed Female, Terrier Mix, Adult

Koko came to the Shelter with her sister after their dad passed away suddenly. Both girls were extremely upset and we have given them some time to adjust before putting them up for adoption. The girls are sisters and have lived together for their entire lives, eight years. Koko looked like a raggamuffin when she first arrived. Apparently she didn't like to go to the groomer and her long hair was knotted and matted. With some coaxing, and a patient groomer, she had a full shave down! Koko is the less outgoing of the two and can take a little longer to warm up to new people. She requires a patient and gentle hand, and and a little extra TLC. Once Koko accepts you, she is full of wiggles and love.

Koko could benefit from some obedience classes and needs to work on her leash manners. She tends to pull and is quite strong. Koko isn't great around other dogs, but is learning to become more comfortable with them in close proximity. Koko would be best in a home without small children, as their energy might overwhelm her.

Diesel

Neutered Male, Pit Bull Mix, Adult

Diesel is a unique looking guy and we aren't quite sure what his mix is. The black and white makes us think Dalmation, but we also think there could be some Cattle Dog in there. Diesel is a sweet natured boy with lots of energy. He will need an experienced owner who is familiar with Bully Breeds. Diesel has some obedience training, but could benefit from some classes with his new family.

Diesel gets along with some dogs, mostly females and would need to be introduced to any dog in the home prior to adoption. We would recommend an adult only home for Diesel due to his energy level. Diesel is a big cuddle bug and would be quite happy to snuggle up on the couch on a cold wet winter day!
