Poirier Community Centre offers a wide of active, performing arts, social and educational programs and services for all ages and families.  Rental space for meetings, family celebrations, and social opportunities are also available.

Poirier Licensed Preschool Programs

The Poirier Community Centre operates two licensed preschools that provide a nurturing and challenging environment where children are comfortable to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically. 

  1.      Poirier Licensed Preschool – Currently FULL 

      2.   Tot Time Preschool - Two day per week program for 3 to 4 yr old / 4-5 yr old.  You may register in person, through the registration line at 927-4FUN (4386) or through SignMeUp

     
Children's Swapmeet

      Our next swapmeet will be held on February 19th 2012 from 9:00-:100 p.m. Table Registration will begin Monday September 19 at 8:30am.

The Cellar Youth Centre

A place to hang out with your friends after school. Challenge the Youth Staff to a game of pool or ping pong, use the computer for school work or games, take in a movie or just chill and listen to some music. There are different events every weekend and it is fully supervised - and free! Bring your friends and make new ones. This is the place for you. We are located in the Poirier Community Centre 630 Poirier St.

Closed for the summer and will reopen September 6, 2011

Centennial Activity Centre includes a large gymnasium and multi purpose room built in partnership between the School District 43 and the City of Coquitlam.


We offer a variety of Drop-in and Registered Programs for all ages. Programs run 7 days a week.


Programs include:

• Sports: Volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, badminton, ball hockey, multi-sport, indoor tennis, and pickle ball.
  
  
• Performing Arts and Fitness: Drama, hip hop, and creative dance. Health and Wellness: Pilates, yoga, dancercise to Latin Rhythms, and boot camp.
  
  
• General Interest: Babysitter's Training, birthday parties, and mighty mites.

• 6:30pm to 10:30pm, Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays
• 9:00am to 9:00pm, Saturdays
• 9:00am to 7:45pm, Sundays
  

Summer

• 9:00am to 4:00pm/5:30pm to 10:30pm, Mondays to Fridays
• 9:00am to 9:00pm, Saturdays

Summit Community Centre includes a gymnasium and a multi purpose room with an office that has been built in partnership between the School Board and the City, located at 1450 Parkway Boulevard on the West side of Summit Middle School on Westwood Plateau.

Glen Pine Pavilion officially opened  January 13, 2008, and is home to the Glen Pine 50Plus Society. This state-of-the-art community centre offers a vibrant venue for adults and seniors who wish to be more active, meet friends and enjoy good times participating in leisure activities. Participants enjoy joint membership with Dogwood Pavilion allowing members to take advantage of the wonderful amenities at both locations. Come by and check out what Glen Pine Pavilion has to offer.

• A fully-equipped Fitness and Weight Room (Alpine Fitness Centre)
• The Great Room and Stage for special events, entertainment, dance classes, carpet-bowling, table tennis, fitness
• The Green Room for life-long learning workshops and seminars, meetings, yoga and pilates
• The Studio for painting lessons, arts and crafts
• The Wood Box for small wood-working projects
• The Corner Pocket for a good game of recreational billiards
• The Lemon Tree Cafe for  full week day luncheon service with a diverse and nutritious menu 
• The Lemon Tree Room for language classes, karaoke afternoons and taikofit
• The Hub to meet with friends or watch our big screen TV

The Glen Pine Pavilion is a warm and welcoming place for adults including multicultural members of the community with a variety of programs, groups, support services and activities to choose from. There are also numerous rewarding volunteer opportunities to become involved with. Annual Membership for 2011 is $17.00 including HST valid a year from date of purchase. The joint membership is also valid at the Dogwood Pavilion. Anyone aged 50+ is eligible for the joint Pavilion membership. Adults are welcome to participate in evening and Saturday programs.
