Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex will offer sports activities all year round and both residents and visitors are invited to participate in scheduled Fall and Winter activities, which include Skate Lessons, Tiny-Tot Hockey, Power Skating, Birthday Parties, Curling Clinics and Drop-in Practice Curling. Dear Sports Centre Users:
Due to the renovations in the Main Arena, which will result in a new NHL-sized rink, there will be no skating lessons during the Winter 2010 registration season. We feel it would be better to wait and ensure that the facility is up and running before lessons are offered, in the event that the facility is unavailable in order to avoid cancelling lessons after registration begins.
Presently we are targeting the Fall 2010 registration session as our next set of lessons. There is the possibility that lessons may be offered earlier than that; however, Fall 2010 will be the first confirmed session.
Please note that this is only in respect to registered skating lessons. We will still be offering public skate sessions in the Winter.
