Evergreen Line ALRT Project

Once the Evergreen Line is constructed, Coquitlam residents and businesses will be able to connect quickly with various communities in the Metro Vancouver area. Evergreen will be faster, more comfortable and have greater capacity than the existing transit system that is serving the Tri-Cities.

Environmental Assessment

The The Provincial Government is committed to an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Evergreen Line ALRT. The EA has commenced with the preparation of a Project Description Report which is available for viewing by clicking here . The Environmental Assessment Office has set up a Project Environmental Assessment Working Group of which the City is a member. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Evergreen Line ALRT Project Office

On February 28, 2009 the Province opened the Evergreen Line Project Office. The office is located at 2900 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, close to the Coquitlam West Coast Express Station and is open to the public. A web site which contains general information about the Project as well as periodic updates regarding the Projects progress can be found at www.evergreenline.gov.bc.ca.

Evergreen Line Public Consultation

The Province has completed the Preliminary Design of the Evergreen ALRT Line. Public Open Houses, to solicit input from the public, have been scheduled in Coquitlam:

Staff from the Project Office will be presenting the proposed route alignment and station locations and be available to answer any questions the public may have. A Discussion Guide and feedback forms will be available at the meetings.
