Plus, the City boasts more than 68 parks and trails, featuring bike paths, playgrounds, sportsfields and picnic areas .

Coquitlam Torch Relay

On Thursday, February 11, 2010, Coquitlam will be a stopping point for the torch relay on its way to the Opening Ceremonies in Vancouver on February 12.

Parks & Trails

Coquitlam has over 80 municipal Parks and Natural Areas totalling over 2,200 acres. The parks and trails include features ranging from picnic areas and playgrounds, to outdoor pools, spray parks, sportsfields and skateboard parks. 

Coquitlam supports environmental stewardship and education through special events, stewardship group support, the Bear Aware Program, Adopt a Trail Program, Nature and Outdoor Pursuit Programs and many other environmental initiatives. 

Arts & Culture

Experience Coquitlam's rich history and growing arts and cultural community at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, Place Maillardville, Mackin House, Place des Arts and other cultural sites in the area.
