Economic Development Advisory Committee

Mandate

The Economic Development Advisory Committee:

• Provides a business perspective on economic development priorities which should be addressed;
• Identifies the pillars of economic development in the City;
• Identifies economic development impediments and opportunities for the City;
• Advises on business attraction and business retention and expansion activities;
• Advises on ways to provide information about business to the general public; and
• Attends to economic development matters which may be referred to the Committee by Council or other standing committees of Council

Meeting Schedule

The Economic Development Advisory Committee typically meets quarterly, or as needed, on the last Wednesday of the month. The 2017 meetings have been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Council Committee Room (unless noted otherwise) at Coquitlam City Hall, on the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 22, 2017 - This meeting has been cancelled.

  • Tuesday, September 19, 2017
