Councillor Linda Reimer

Linda has lived 29 years in Coquitlam and is married to Les and has raised 2 sons in the community, Gordon and Bill
She was elected to Council in 2008
She is a former appointed Councillor with the BC College of Teachers
Linda had a career in the banking sector and is a fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers
She has a business and criminology degree from Simon Fraser University
Linda has been very active in the community with:
- The Rotary Club of Coquitlam
- Westwood Plateau Community Association
- Fraser Burrard Community Justice Society
- CERA-Communities Embracing Restorative Action
- Linda has been involved on many minor hockey and lacrosse teams, in addition to, 12th Coquitlam Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
- She is the former President and an Honorary Member of the District Parent Advisory Council and has served on many local School Parent Advisory Councils and School Planning Councils
- Linda is a former Co-Chair of Bakers Corner Preschool
- Former director and treasurer of the Learning Disabilities Association of B.C. Fraser North Chapter
- Formerly, Linda has served as Chair of the City/School Board Liaison Committee,Chair of the Sustainability and Environment Advisory Committee, Chair of the Multiculturalism Advisory Committee, Vice-Chair of the Maillardville Commercial & Cultural Revitalization Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of the Land Use and Economic Development Committee, Member of the Engineering, Utilities and Environment Standing Committee, Member of the Recreation, Sports and Culture Standing Committee, Member of the Northeast Sector Environmental Stewardship Committee, Council Rep on the Library Board, and Alternate Council Rep on the Lower Mainland Treaty Advisory Committee
Currently, Linda is:
- Vice Chair of the Multiculturalism Advisory Committee
- Council Representative on the Joint Family Court Youth Justice Committee
- Council Representative on the Tri Cities Early Childhood Development Committee
- Council Representative for Tri Cities Planning Partnership
