Councillor Neal Nicholson

Neal and his wife, Barbara, have lived in Coquitlam’s Ranch Park neighbourhood since 1976
They have raised their two children, Anne and Andrew, in Coquitlam and have two grandchildren
Neal has been a chartered accountant for 42 years, and locates his business in Coquitlam
Neal was first elected to Council in 2007
In the community, Neal serves as:
- Treasurer, Douglas College Foundation
- Treasurer, Rivershed Society of B.C.
- Treasurer, B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame
Formerly, Neal served as:
- Member, Douglas College Board, including two years as Chair
- Treasurer, Coquitlam Heritage Society
- Treasurer, Evergreen Cultural Centre
- Treasurer, B.C. Seniors Games held in Coquitlam’s Centennial year, 1991
As A City Councillor Neal formerly served as Chair of the Liveable Communities Advisory Committee and Vice Chair of the Coquitlam River Aggregate Committee, Chair of the Cultural Advisory Committee, Chair of the Maillardville Commercial and Cultural Revitalization Advisory Task Force, and a member of the Land Use & Economic Development Standing Committee, Recreation, Sports & Culture Standing Committee, and the Strategic Priorities, Administration & Protective Services Standing Committee

- Chair of the Sustainability and Environmental Advisory Committee
