Council Meetings

Regular Council Meetings are generally held three Mondays a month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Coquitlam City Hall.

Watch Council Meetings

Regular Council Meetings are broadcast in the Tri Cities on Shaw Cable, channel 4, on the first and third Tuesday of each month (unless there is no meeting scheduled) at 9:00 p.m. and are rebroadcast on the following Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. Regular Council Meetings, Public Hearings and Council-in-Committee meetings are also streamed live online.

Public Hearings

The Local Government Act requires that a Public Hearing be held before Council adopts an amendment to the Zoning Bylaw (referred to as a rezoning application) or Official Community Plan Bylaw.

Elections

Local government elections in British Columbia are held every four years. In Coquitlam this includes elections for Mayor, Councillors and School Trustees.
