Information Session on City Centre Parking Management Strategy

by Colleen Smith |

COQUITLAM, BC, February 29, 2016 – Those interested in the proposed parking management strategy for Coquitlam’s City Centre area are invited to attend an Information Session being held at City Hall from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10.

Coquitlam’s City Centre Public Parking Management Strategy is being developed in preparation for the opening of the Evergreen Line in early 2017. This strategy will help guide the City to manage City Centre parking in a way that considers the needs of residents, visitors, businesses and commuters, specifically around the Coquitlam Central, Lincoln and Lafarge Lake-Douglas stations.

The information session is drop-in format and attendees will be able to meet with Transportation staff and review information outlining the affected areas, as well as the strategies and actions proposed to address changing needs stemming from the opening of the Evergreen Line.

Coquitlam City Hall is located at 3000 Guidlford Way. Underground parking and outdoor parking can be accessed from Burlington Drive.

A similar and separate draft strategy for the Burquitlam and Lougheed stations will be presented for consultation through the Burquitlam-Lougheed Neighbourhood Plan.
