Coquitlam Begins Construction on Princeton Park

by Heather Escaravage |

COQUITLAM, BC, Aug. 15, 2016 – Construction on the new Princeton Park will begin on Monday Aug. 15, 2016.

As  work gets underway for the new Princeton Park, those in the area can expect to see construction fencing around the perimeter of the park. Construction fencing is put in place to maintain the integrity of the park’s natural environment. The entire park will be closed to the public for the duration of the construction and the fencing will remain up until the project’s completion, anticipated for fall 2016.

We thank all park users for their continued patience while this project continues.

Princeton Park is 0.7 acre park site located in the Upper Hyde Creek Neighbourhood of Coquitlam’s Burke Mountain. Designed for all members of the family, park play elements and amenities will be based on an outdoor nature theme and will include:

  • a park entry feature with plantings to provide seasonal colour;
  • play areas for children and youth of all ages, interests and abilities;
  • built-in seating by the playground;
  • informal grass areas for picnicking; and
  • a fully accessible pathway within the park.
