We want our residents to stay safe during extreme weather conditions. Please check out the Flood Response Tips listed below and keep following us on social media throughout our 26 Weeks campaign so you and your family can get prepared for an emergency. There are also some Emergency Preparedness Training sessions coming up next week and in the month of November - no time like the present to find out everything you need to know to get prepared. You can view the schedule and details on this webpage.

Flood Response Tips

  • Check that your drain tiles are clear and running free.
  • Keep leaves and debris away from catch basins - if they become blocked, flooding can occur.
  • Pay attention to warning signs - use caution when entering areas that are flooded.
  • Do not wade through flood water.
  • Do not drive through flooded areas - take an alternate route for safety.
  • Do not move barricades. They are there for your protection.
  • Call 604-927-3500, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to report blocked catch basins, any flooding of City property, roads or waterways.
