Volunteer for a Coquitlam Committee or Board

COQUITLAM, BC, October 19, 2016 – Coquitlam City Council is accepting applications from residents or representatives of organizations (operating in Coquitlam) interested in volunteering their time, sharing their expertise, and helping the community on municipal advisory committees and boards.

These are volunteer positions with no remuneration. Committee and Board meetings generally take place monthly or bi-monthly on a weekday evening. Selected applicants are provided the opportunity to add their expertise and insight to issues affecting Coquitlam in areas ranging from multiculturalism and accessibility to the environment and sports.

Opportunities will be available beginning January 2017 to serve, or continue to serve, on the following bodies:

  • Board of Variance
  • Culture Services Advisory Committee
  • Coquitlam Public Library Board
  • Multiculturalism Advisory Committee
  • Riverview Lands Advisory Committee
  • Sports Advisory Committee
  • Sustainability & Environmental Advisory Committee
  • Universal Access-Ability Advisory Committee

Interested applicants are required to submit an application form and résumé that demonstrates passion for the community as well as any knowledge relevant to their committee(s) of interest.
