Give Us Your Feedback on the Coquitlam Crunch Trail

by Heather Escaravage |

COQUITLAM, BC, May 9, 2017 – Heard of “The Crunch”? If so, we’d like your feedback on this Coquitlam trail.

Between May 9 – 28, the City is hosting a survey for feedback on the Coquitlam Crunch and new trail route within the BC Hydro right-of-way from Dewdney Trunk Drive to Mariner Way.  Survey answers will be used to guide future improvements to the trail system.

The Coquitlam Crunch is a popular and somewhat challenging hiking trail within the BC Hydro corridor, running from Runnel Drive up to the top of Westwood Plateau at Eagle Mountain Drive. During the 2.2 kilometre hike, the trail gains 242 metres in elevation – approximately 81 storeys and includes a staired section with over 400 timber stairs.

The Crunch is part of the City of Coquitlam’s trail system, which includes more than 100 kilometres of multi-surface trails and includes a portion of the Trans Canada Trail.
