COQUITLAM, BC, May 23, 2017 – Nearly 200 homes have signed up for Coquitlam’s City-Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 27, offering plenty of opportunities to snap up hidden treasures and one-off bargains. And there are many other great reasons to make a day of it in Coquitlam – including a food truck festival, Family Fun Day and an outdoor concert.

Whether you’re hunting for a deal or simply enjoy browsing for unique trinkets, thrifters will be in their element.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

Fraser Valley Food Truck Festival:
Hungry? Take a walk along Burlington Drive next to City Hall for a bite to eat (from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and once in the area, take some time to stroll through the shops: grab a coffee, scope out the many restaurants for date night, treat yourself at the hair and nail salons, and peruse the retailers in and around Glen Drive and City Centre. www.fvfoodtruckfestival.com

Family Fun Day: Free fun from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring Bobs and LoLo, crafts, Tumblebus, face painting and a fire truck! www.placemaillardville.ca  

Festival of Music in the Park: Town Centre Park Plaza will come alive with music when choir groups and musical performers from School District 43 take the stage from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (rain or shine).
