Construction Beginning Along Coquitlam Crunch

by Heather Escaravage |

COQUITLAM, BC, July 4, 2017 – Coquitlam Crunch users and neighbouring properties should note that, beginning this week, there will be construction for a new watermain on Westwood Plateau that runs the length of the Coquitlam Crunch trail.

Detours will be in place along the trail throughout the construction period from July 2017 until spring 2018.

This includes a closure of the stairs portion in October 2017; however, to mitigate the disruption to trail users a detour will be in place that will include a new, permanent second set of stairs. There will be no impact to the Coquitlam Crunch Challenge in September and at no time is the City anticipating closing the trail.

Users of the Coquitlam Crunch trail are asked to obey posted detours and construction signage and personnel.

For information and updates visit the Road Work webpage. For questions or concerns during construction, call 604-927-3500.
