Discount Period for Dog Licence Renewal Ends Soon

by GS GS |

COQUITLAM, BC, Monday, January 27, 2014 – Dog owners in the City of Coquitlam are reminded that the discount period to renew dog licences is underway.

The discount is available before February 1st and licences can be paid online at www.coquitlam.ca/PetOwners.

The cost before February 1st for spayed and neutered dogs is $27.00 ($52.00 non-spayed or non-neutered). After February 1st, the cost will be $42.00 for spayed and neutered dogs ($67.00 non-spayed or non-neutered).

A dog licence is a valuable tool to help protect your pet by providing an easy-to-identify dog tag and registration with the Coquitlam Animal Shelter.  If your dog is lost anywhere in the world, the fastest way to be reunited is by this tag and your licence.

Dog licence fees also help fund the Coquitlam Animal Shelter, which not only helps reunite lost pets with their owners, but also protects and finds homes for stray animals.

All dogs over the age of six months must be licenced every year with the City of Coquitlam and Bylaw Enforcement Notice fines will be issued if your dog is found unlicenced.
