Donations for displaced Glen Drive residents - Update Feb 19

by GS GS |

UPDATE - February 19, 2015 - 11:00 a.m.

Our sincere thanks to the members of our community who have been reaching out asking how they can help residents displaced by the fire at 2915 Glen Drive, and all those who came to the drop-off collection at Eagle Ridge United Church on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. The moving truck was filled beyond capacity!

There are now a number of community organizations collecting donations on behalf of the 2915 Glen Drive residents. Please visit their websites or contact them directly for more information.

Coquitlam Fire Victims
A fund has been established through Coast Capital Savings and cash donations can be made at any Coast Capital Savings branch in the name of "Coquitlam Fire Victims". Contact can also be made at info@coquitlamfirevictims.ca. Volunteer information is also listed on their site.

Eagle Ridge United Church
Eagle Ridge United Church is accepting donations - at this time cash and gift cards are preferred. Please, no furniture yet. Bring donations to the church at 2813 Glen Drive.

SHARE Society
Food bank donations especially appreciated. SHARE will also be partnering with Coquitlam Centre to collect goods and clothing. More information here.

We will continue to update as opportunities to volunteer or assist become available.

Our thanks to Eagle Ridge United Church and Kary Movers, as well as to CKNW.

We will continue to post updates for residents, as available, here, as well as to Facebook and Twitter.
