Large Item Pick Up

Do you have furniture or other large household items that you no longer use?

If they can’t be reused or recycled, we can collect them for you.

Residents who receive the City's curbside collection service can have up to 4 large household items collected each year (July 1 – June 30) by choosing one of 2 options:

  1. Place out 4 items at the same time, once a year
  2. Place out 1, 2 or 3 items at different times of the year (to a maximum of 4 per year)

How to use the service

  1. Contact Smithrite at 604-529-4011 to schedule a ‘Large Item Pick Up’.
  2. Tell them how many items need to be collected (maximum of 4 items per year) and what the items are.
  3. On the scheduled pick up date, only place out your booked in item/s neatly on the curb.
  4. REMEMBER: Items must be placed within three feet of the curb, leaving a space between the recycling, garbage and yard waste.
