Multi-Family Recycling Program
Set up the City’s Recycling Service at your Multi-Family Complex!
Multi-family residences are not automatically set up with the City’s Recycling Program. Recycling services must be set up by the property or strata manager or the landlord.
The current cost is $39.00 per unit per year.
How does the program work?
- The building's property manager or landlord needs to complete a Multi Family Recycling application online
- For a fee, either the Blue Box or Centralized Wheeled Cart program will be offered to you depending on the type of complex you live in.
- The carts/blue boxes and bags will be delivered to your complex.
- Start recycling! Recyclables should be sorted and placed into the appropriate recycling cart/box/bag. Sort your recycling as shown in the Blue Box Program guidelines. The same guidelines apply if you have carts for mixed container, mixed paper and newsprint.
