Animals for Adoption

Viewing: Cat

Violet

Violet is a sweet girl who has been with us for some time. Violet is looking for a cat free home as she really doesn't enjoy the company of all these other cats. Violet has been in two homes that returned her because she started peeing outside the box, and we think having other animals in the home could be the problem. We would love to find someone who is willing to give Violet a chance in a pet free enviroment to see if she continues to have accidents. We have run all types of tests and tried different medications to help her, but we think a quiet home will be the best thing for Violet.

Trooper

Poor Trooper had a bit of a rough time adjusting to shelter life, it's taken him awhile to adjust to this busy place! But now we are seeing the real Trooper, a sweet and cuddly boy who will come out and rub up against your shins to get some attention. Trooper is likely around 10 years old but in good health, he's even lost some weight since arriving. Trooper isn't a big fan of the other cats and tends to keep his distance, he may be happiest in a feline free home.

Dee Dee

DeeDee is a shy little girl who is still getting used to all the activity at the shelter. She arrived with some of her siblings and we often find them all snuggled up together. Dee Dee will hiss at you, but she doesn't really mean it, because she'll then let you pet her. She would do best in a home with another friendly feline, and no kids.

Bootsie

Bootise is a sweet and shy girl who is around 13 years old, but is in good health. She's found shelter life a bit overwhelming but loves her cuddles from volunteers. Bootsie was in a home with another female cat who was surrendered with her but she has since found a home. Bootsie is declawed so must be an indoor only cat.

Marie

Marie is a very sweet and affectionate girl who desperatley wants a family of her own. She loves to be cuddled and will rub up against your legs to get your attention. Marie can be a bit fiesty at times so would likely be best in an adult only home. She doesn't much care for the other cats and would like to be the only cat in the home.

Katniss

Katniss came to our attention almost a year ago after moving into a residents shed to have kittens. After numerous attempts to catch her we finally managed to get her and her three kittens. Katniss had obviously been out on her own for some time as she is very timid around people, but seems to prefer men to women. We would love to find Katniss a quiet and easy going home where she can relax and enjoy life. She gets along well with the other cats and even cuddles up with the other scardey cats.

Spunky

Spunky came to the shelter after his owner passed away and has had a hard time adjusting. He's starting to relax and we're happy to see him happier. Spunky needs a patient and quiet home that will allow him the time to adjust yet again to a new enviorment. Spunky is quiet and mellow and just wants a nice quiet cuddle. He sticks to himself mostly but may be okay in a home with a cat that has a similar temperment.

Kittens

The shelter currently has a few kittens available for adoption. We have boys and girls of varying colors and coat lengths. All females are spayed prior to adoption and males go home with a certificate worth $50 towards their neuter.

If you are interesting in adopting please come visit our little ones at the shelter!

Cindy

Cindy is a spunky girl who is looking for a feline free forever home! Cindy tends to get quite worked up when she's around other cats so she's got her own private suite so that she can be more comfortable. Cindy can be quite affectionate, on her terms...and will on occassion let you know she's done with your attention. We think Cindy would be best suited for an adult home because she can get a little fiesty and the energy level of kids would easily overhwhelm her.

Flynn

Flynn is a handsome little cat who is a bit scared of being in this new enviroment. He's found some comfort cuddling up with his friends and would love to find a new home that has a feline companion. Flynn needs a home that is quiet and low energy to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. He loves having his cheeks rubbed once he knows he can trust you.

Lara

Lara is a sweet girl who arrived at the shelter with a number of siblings who have all been adopted. Lara had a hard time adjusting to shelter life and spent some time in a foster home. We believe that the cats must have had almost no socialization as kittens and it can take some cats years to overcome their fears. Lara is still a shy cat, but with a gentle hand and a few treats you can win her over.

Lara would do best in a home with another cat as she is very comfortable with other cats. There are a few at the shelter currently that she is quite bonded too. Lara would be a candidate for the shelter's Foster Program, please contact the shelter for more info.

Kale

Kale is a handsome boy who can be a bit timid at times, but really wants to make friends. He gets along well with the other cats, especially the friends he arrived at the shelter with. Kale would love to find a home with one of his pals, or another friendly cat. He would likely do best in an adult home as small children might scare him right now.

Bento

Bento is big girl with a sweet disposition. She's adjusted well to shelter life and is more mobile than she looks! We often find Bento on the top of kennels or cat trees so her weight doesn't slow her down. Bento would likely do best either in a feline free home, or with another cat who won't bother her too much. Bento has been at the shelter for some time and we are hoping her forever home comes along soon...she's a sweet girl who will truly shine once she's in a more stable enviroment.

Sandy

Sandy is a young boy, likely around 1.5 years old. He needs a quiet and patient home as he was undersocialized as a kitten and is a little wary of people. Sandy spent some time in a foster home and has come back to get even more socialization around people. He's become more curious but still tends to stay at arms lenght of new people. Sandy loves other cats and we often find him cuddled up in a pile of cats, some of which are  his siblings. He would do well in a home with another cat to help him become more social and trusting of people.

Annie

Annie is a shy little girl who arrived at the shelter with her siblings, who she's still quite bonded to. Annie is the more outgoing of the cats and we've seen her start to adventure out from her hiding spot. Slow and steady is the way to win this little one over. We would recommend she go to an adult only home as kids would easily overwhelm her with their energy.

Wendel

Wendel is a nervous boy who was found living behind a dumpster with his brother, who's now been adopted. Wendel needs a very patient and quiet home that will help him become a more confident cat. He would likely do well in a home with another cat that can take him under it's wing.

Lynx

Lynx is a beautiful girl who arrived at the shelter last year in rough shape. We are guessing she was hit by a car and had some damage to her tail, which had to be amputated. There was some nerve damage done which has resulted in Lynx being slightly incontinent. She does go to the box, but sometimes things just happen and we don't think she realizes. Lynx is one of the friendliest cats and will jump up on your lap or climb on your shoulder for attention. She is playful and loves the other cats, especially kittens!

Lynx does require a special diet for urinary tract health to ensure she doesn't get a bladder infection. Lynx would be a candidate for our Foster Program, contact the shelter for more info!

Precious

Precious is a fiesty old gal who is around 15 years old but doesn't look like it at all! Precious does have a thyroid condition and requires a pill twice a day, which she is very good about taking. Precious needs a feline free home as she really doesn't like being in such close quarters to all these other cats. She can get a bit grumpy, but we think that once she's in a more comfortable enviroment she'll be much happier. Precious is a candidate for our Foster Program, contact the shelter for more info.

Ru

Ru is an older gal who would love to find a quiet and laid back home where she can relax. She doesn't enjoy the hussle and bussle of the shelter, or the other cats it seems. Ru would prefer to be the only feline in the home, so she doesn't have to share any of the attention!

Billy Ninja

Billy Ninja was a tough nut to crack, he was very scared and  upset when he first arrived at the shelter. After giving him some space and allowing him to come to us on his terms, we've found him to be a pretty friendly guy. He still has a ways to come as he can get a little nervous with new people so we would recommend an adult only home for him at this time. Billy has mostly been sticking to himself and is a little nervous around the other cats still so might be happiest in a home with just one cat.

Trent - Foster Needed

Trent is a sweet and handsome boy looking for an expereinced home as he has had some medical issues and needs a quiet home to relax in. Our vets are still trying to determine why he hasn't been feeling well as all his test results have come back normal. Could be a case of too much heat or an  upset tummy but we'd like to keep him in a quiet home to monitor him. Please contact the shelter if you think you could offer Trent a place to stay.

Aggie

Aggie is a tiny little girl who spent some time in a foster home because she was a little undersocialized when she first arrived at the shelter. She has come back much more comfortable and confident with people and her foster mom said she was quite affectionate. Aggie gets along well with the other cats, but seems to be most comfortable around males and would do well in a home with an outgoing younger cat. Aggie is about 1.5 years old and in good health. She might be best suited for an adult home, or a home with older children as toddler energy might overwhelm her.
