Pipeline Road Design Project

The City of Coquitlam is seeking public input for future improvements to Pipeline Road between Guildford Way and David Avenue. Pipeline Road is an arterial street serving Coquitlam City Centre and connecting to Northeast Coquitlam.

The first phase of the consultation, now completed, provided information on the guiding principles for the project and asked the public for input on what is important for consideration of the street design. Public Information Sessions for the first phase in the design process were held on May 24 and May 27 2017.

Council-in-Committee received a summary report from City staff on October 2, 2017, on the results of the Phase 1 public consultation. The report can be downloaded in the link below.

The second phase, to develop street concepts and their evaluation criteria, has just begun. The next public information session was on Nov. 29, 2017.

  • Initial consultation - May 2017
  • Street options and evaluation criteria - fall 2017
  • Preferred design option selection - winter 2018
  • Detailed design expected to follow
  • Construction phasing TBD
