Canada Day IcecreamCoquitlam’s Canada Day celebration has grown to be the largest event in the Tri-Cities. It is known for its wide range of diverse live entertainment, delicious ethnic and regional food, and multi-cultural activities.  

Named one of the top 20 festivals in Metro Vancouver by Business in Vancouver, this is a free community festival with live music and entertainment, food, beverages, family activities and fireworks.

Limited parking will be available. We encourage you to walk, bike, carpool or take transit to the event site. A free bike valet (11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.) will be available to keep your bike safe and secure during the day. Check out the site map for location. CloseRide the SkyTrain to the Lafarge Lake-Douglas station, it's located right beside Town Centre Park and is a short walk from the event site. 

Event Parking

A free shuttle bus will run from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. between Town Centre Park and Glen Eagle Secondary School. View our parking map for a list of free public parking in the area.

Get Ready for Canada Day

Canada Day is a fun-filled day for the whole family. Follow our tips to enjoy your day even more!

  • Use the site map to help plan your day ahead of time
  • Pack a lawn chair for easy convenient seating
  • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated; you can refill it at our water station
  • Keep your younger family members safe:
    • Have a plan; spend a few moments showing your kids what to do if they are lost
    • Ensure your child has your name and cell number
    • Establish a meeting point in case you're separated
    • Know what your child is wearing; take a photo of your child will a cell phone or digital camera and take it with you. This will help you remember and help others who might be looking for them.
