• Blue Mountain Park Playground - Phase 2

  Location:  Blue Mountain Park
  Description:
  In late spring, a new 'rope net parkour style play circuit' will be installed east of the new playground. A new grassy area with benches and tables will be added to the re-landscaped section of the old playground.  There will also be brand new animals to replace the old horse and mules.  Finally, a picnic shelter for community gatherings will be built south of the new playground to complete the area improvements.

• Queenston Park

  To meet the local park and recreational needs of the area residents, the City of Coquitlam has undertaken the process to plan and generate a park concept design for the proposed development of Queenston Park at 3415 Queenston Avenue. View the Concept Plan Open House Display Boards

• Glen Park

  Location:  Glen Park
  

  Description: 
  The key intent of Glen Park is to provide a neighbourhood gathering space with places for active play and opportunities for passive enjoyment.  Council endorsed the Park Master Plan in March 2011 and approved the Phase 1 Plan and budget in September 2011.  View the Glen Park Master Plan

  PWL Partnership Landscape Architects Inc. has been engaged by the City of Coquitlam to design Glen Park Public Plaza.  Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2013 and will open early Fall 2013.
  
  Phase 1 Highlights:
  - A portion of the entry plaza located on the eastern side of the park, adjacent to Pipeline Road;
  - Picnic area;
  - Fenced, off-leash dog area;
  - Main park pathway system; 
  - New playground area located adjacent to the Entry Plaza;
  - Hazard tree removal;
  - Site Preparation; and
  - Removal of existing playground and portions of perimeter fencing

• Hockaday Park

  Location:  Hockaday Park
  Description: 
  Starting in the summer of 2012 the City will be undertaking the redevelopment of Hockaday Park. Construction of this space will continue through the Fall of 2012.
  Highlights:
  - Naturalized play structure
  - Pedestrian pathway river access
  - Formalized passive areas.

• Mundy Park Bike Trail

  Location:  Mundy Park
  Description:
  Construction will start in the Spring of 2013 for the beginner and intermediate bike trails starting with the existing paved path on the eastern side of Mundy Park. These trails have been designed to accommodate young bike enthusiasts; they are connected and visible from the existing path for parents walking the paved areas. The new skills trail is scheduled to open in early Summer 2013.  View our Bike Trail Improvements Plan for more information.
