We have a variety of sports fields and sports court facilities available for leisure, recreation and organized sports. We're committed to providing safe and accessible playing fields for all ages and activity levels.

2017 CanWest Games

With over 550 athletes competing, the CanWest Games is the largest fitness competition in Western Canada. Come see the fittest in the region be crowned the CanWest Champions!

BC Athletics Championships Jamboree

The BC Athletics Championships Jamboree brings athletes from around the province to compete in various track and field disciplines ​in running, jumping & throwing events. Events will be held Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 16. Please view the online meet schedule for event times.

Sports Fields – ​Current Status & Updates

The current sport field status will be updated every Friday and if necessary, further information will be added. 

Fields will be shown as either Open or Closed. ​If the field status is Open, the 'User Discretion' note allows user groups to make a decision regarding field conditions prior to the start of the game. Fields can be determined "playable' provided none of the following conditions exist:

  • Standing water on field
  • Frost or frozen ground conditions
  • Snow on the field of play and surrounding areas

Coquitlam Sports Field Strategy 2013 – 2023

The Sports Field Strategy identifies the long term vision and community priorities. It sets the strategic direction for the provision of sports field infrastructure which addresses growth, standards, industry trends and guides future decision making.
