Project Overview

The Austin Heights Neighbourhood Plan (Bylaw No. 4196, 2011) was unanimously adopted by City Council on April 4, 2011. Thank you to everyone who participated in the process.

The Austin Heights neighbourhood is a complete community made up of a strong commercial core and includes the Poirier Recreation Complex and Blue Mountain Park.

 How long will it take for the Austin Heights Neighbourhood Plan to be fully realized?

The Austin Heights Neighbourhood Plan is meant to guide growth and change in the neighbourhood over the course of the next twenty years.  The decisions of individual property owners, the economic climate, and the rate of property assembly are all factors that affect the pace of development which means that change in the neighbourhood will occur incrementally over time.
