Pest Control Department
While we live in an urban environment, wildlife, big and small, lives all around us, and with us. The City of Coquitlam offers pest control advice and has a Bear Aware Program to help mitigate risks living with urban wildlife.
Pest Control
If you see a pest problem on public land, want information about a pest, suspect that you have a rodent problem, or just want general information about urban pest management, please contact the Urban Wildlife Coordinator (urbanwildlife@coquitlam.ca), or the Engineering Customer Service.
Pest-related issues include those of:
- Rodents (rats and mice),
- Urban wildlife (e.g. raccoons, coyotes, squirrels),
- Mosquitoes, and
- Other insects (e.g. ants, wasps)
For pest control concerns on private land, please refer to a private pest control company. Local pest control services can be found on Yellowpages.ca and other internet search engines.
