Check here for ways to connect and bring our community together during COVID-19. You’ll find information about our seniors meal delivery service, opportunities for volunteering, the community 7 p.m. cheer, and more to come.
Glen Pine and Dogwood Pavilions are offering a frozen meal delivery program.
The meals are $7.50 each and payment by credit card is taken over the phone or online. Frozen meal orders are delivered for free to isolated Coquitlam residents who are 50 yrs+ by 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays (schedule may change with civic holidays). A pickup option is also available from Glen Pine or Dogwood pavilions.
To learn more about the program, see this week's menu items and sign up, click here.
Local businesses are at the heart of our community. We can all do our part to help our local businesses recover from the economic impact of COVID-19. Here’s how:
The City is accepting submissions of letters, poems, drawings or anything bearing a positive message to distribute to seniors who have signed up for the City’s meal delivery program.
To participate, simply submit a letter or scan your image and email to us.
Do you know someone in Coquitlam who is showing amazing community spirit in the face of the current health crisis?
We’d like to hear about it.
Please send us a message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, or email us. We'd love to share the wonderful things our community is doing!
Coquitlam’s City Hall windows will be adorned with hearts as part of the “Hearts for Health Care Workers” movement, to show support for health care workers who are required to work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Show Your Support at Home
Download the printable heart or one you and the kids can colour yourselves to place on your door or windows. Look for the City’s posts on social media to share the love online, too.
Share the love online. Take a photo and post it to social media tagging @CityofCoquitlam and #CoquitlamSPIRIT.
At 7 p.m., shifts change at health care facilities, so at this time, communities across the country are showing their support by cheering from windows or open doors, or by ringing bells, beating on drums or pots and pans.
Coquitlam, let us show our health care workers that we support them during this time! Post your photo or video to social media and tag @CityofCoquitlam and #CoquitlamSPIRIT
