COQUITLAM, B.C., Oct. 17, 2022 – There is a new place in town to grab a great cup of coffee or sit down with a glass of wine and a meal, as the Burke Mountain Discovery Centre and Ibex Café + Kitchen opened its doors to the public on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Discovery Centre and Café a Gateway to Burke Mountain Village

The Discovery Centre, located at 3537 Princeton Ave., is a gathering place for current and future residents to learn about community updates, the future of Burke Mountain Village, and upcoming events and activities. The single-storey centre features a space with interactive displays and information on Burke Mountain, four unisex washrooms (two that are fully accessible), a six-spot bike rack and on-site parking for 13 vehicles, including EV charging stations.

Anchoring the facility is the highly anticipated Ibex Café + Kitchen – the first café to open in Northeast Coquitlam. The café site includes both indoor seating and an outdoor patio, with expansive views south toward the Fraser Valley and Pitt River, and is licensed to serve alcohol, including beer and wine.

IBEX Café + Kitchen will offer an assortment of freshly baked goods, ready-to-go sandwiches, specialty coffee and dine-in wine and beer.
