[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Family Day in Coquitlam

COQUITLAM, BC, Feb. 3, 2020 – Looking to spend quality time with your family over the long weekend? Coquitlam is serving up family fun all over the City.

Family Day drop-in activities include skating, swimming, fitness and so much more! There is something for all ages and abilities, with special events starting on Friday, Feb. 14 running through to the holiday Monday, Feb. 17.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Friday, Feb. 14

Family Day at Summit (All Ages)

Join us for free activities at Summit! Jump in the bouncy castle, enjoy some popcorn and participate in gym games appropriate for all ages.

  • Date: Friday, Feb. 14
  • Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Summit Community Centre (1450 Parkway Blvd.)
  • Cost: Free

 

Saturday, Feb. 15

Family Day in the Park (All Ages)

Join the Coquitlam Park Spark team for an afternoon of family fun in Town Centre Park. Participate in a variety of outdoor games and fun activities to celebrate Family Day. 

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 15
  • Time: 12 – 3 p.m.
  • Inspiration Garden, Town Centre Park (3099 Guildford Way)
  • Cost: Free

Spotlight on Sport Family Day Drop-in (All Ages)

Participate in a variety of family-friendly, non-competitive sports and activities. Also, enjoy great music and free snacks!

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 15
  • Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Mountain View Park (751 Smith Ave.)
  • Cost: Free

Family Day at Smiling Creek (All Ages)

Join us for free activities at Smiling Creek! Jump in the bouncy castle, enjoy some popcorn and participate in gym games appropriate for all ages.

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 15
  • Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Smiling Creek Activity Centre (3456 Princeton Ave.)
  • Cost: Free

 

Sunday, Feb. 16

Family Day at Pinetree (All Ages)

Join us for free activities at Pinetree! Jump in the bouncy castle, enjoy some popcorn and participate in gym games appropriate for all ages.

  • Date: Sunday, Feb. 16
  • Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Pinetree Community Centre (1260 Pinetree Way)
  • Cost: Free

Spotlight on Sport Family Day Drop-in (All Ages)

Monday, Feb. 17

Family Day Swim at City Centre Aquatic Complex (All Ages)

Help us celebrate Family Day at CCAC! Rotating features include slide, rope swing, diving boards and the WIBIT, an aquatic obstacle course.

  • Date: Monday, Feb. 17
  • Time: 10:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • City Centre Aquatic Complex (1210 Pinetree Way)
  • Cost: Regular Admission Rate

Family Day Swim at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex (All Ages)

Help us celebrate Family Day at the pool!

  • Date: Monday, Feb. 17
  • Time: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.)
  • Cost: Regular Admission Rate

FUN Family Day at Poirier (All Ages)

Bring out the family and help us celebrate Family Day! Entertainment, games and a variety of activities to be enjoyed by the whole family. Get ready to be active and have some fun! Pre-registration is required for this event.

  • Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Poirier Community Centre (630 Poirier St.)
  • Cost: Free | Register Now 

Family Day Skate at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex (All Ages)

Help us celebrate Family Day on the ice!

  • Date: Monday, Feb. 17
  • Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. | 1:15 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.)
  • Cost: $2 per person
