[ARCHIVED] Coquitlam Increases Time Allotment for Outdoor Pool Swims

COQUITLAM, BC, July 13, 2020 – Effective Monday, July 13, booked swim times at Coquitlam’s Eagle Ridge and Spani outdoor pools will increase from 30 to 40 minutes.

In addition, to meet the demand and interest, individual swimmers will also now share a double lane with a maximum of four swimmers per shared lane. 

Pool users are now also permitted to bring small toys, kickboards or lifejackets from home if desired. There will be kickboards and lifejackets available at both pools upon request, but no toys.

Two Types of Bookings Available

Both outdoor pools are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily with two types of swimming booking options:

  1. Individual Length Swim: A 40-minute booking for lap swimming; swimmers will share a double lane with a maximum of four swimmers per shared lane. (Minimum age 7 years.)
  2. Family Swim: A 40-minute double-lane booking for two to six people from the same household.

Admission is $2 per person paid at the time of booking through Coquitlam’s Sign Me Up registration system at www.coquitlam.ca/registration.
