COQUITLAM, B.C., Feb. 9, 2021 – School-aged children and youth can stay active, have fun and connect with others safely in Coquitlam’s Spring Break Camps and other activities starting March 22.

Online registration starts 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 (available 24/7), and phone-in registration at 604-927-4386 opens Thursday, Feb. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weekdays except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Immersive Outdoor Camps
Campers can immerse themselves in nature with Eco Discovery at Mundy Park Field House (629 Hillcrest St). Kids ages seven to ten can enjoy a week of exciting outdoor games and hands-on activities in the forest and around the lakes at Mundy Park (Course ID s# 34979 and 34978).
Indoor Camps for a Variety of Interests
Gain strength, balance and agility through FUNdamental movement skills and then let your imagination lead your creative side. Register for Cartwheels and Crayons for ages six to eight at Pinetree Community Centre, 1260 Pinetree Way (Course ID #s 35577 and 35570).
Or enjoy a week full of interactive games, activities, crafts and more in Pinetree and Poirier Spring Break Camps for ages five to seven and eight to 12.
Camps are four or five days long and run Monday, March 22 to Friday, March 26 and Monday, March 29 to Thursday, April 1.
Fun Options for Youth
Youth ages 13 – 15 who have completed their Youth Fitness Orientation can pre-register to drop-in at the weight room at the Innovation Centre (1207 Pinetree Way) and Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.). Also, Coquitlam’s Youth Centres provide opportunities for learning important life skills, as well as creating art, playing cards or board games, watching movies and participating in bingo and karaoke.
Staying Safe with Coquitlam Recreation
Safety protocols are in place at all City facilities to ensure the safety of program participants and staff. In compliance with the Provincial Mask Mandate Order, masks are required in all indoor facilities with exemptions as outlined in the provincial Order. For example, a mask is not required when participating in a fitness activity, but it must be worn as you move around the facility.
Coquitlam Recreation is continually adapting to meet the requirements of updated Public Health Orders and we appreciate your patience as we may need to make last minute changes. If programs are cancelled due to Provincial Health Orders, customers will receive an account credit, or you can request a refund on your original method of payment.
