Register for May and June Recreation Programs April 14

Important Registration Info

  • Monday, April 12 – May and June programs are visible online at 8:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, April 14 – Online registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, April 15 – Phone-in registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Online registration is available 24/7 at coquitlam.ca/registration. Phone-in registration is available at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New programs in May and June include an ‘Explore the World’ series of programs for early years children; outdoor sports for kids, including Soccer and Tennis; YOUth league sports with an emphasis on skills and drills; and virtual outdoor recreation workshops as you get prepared for the upcoming hiking season and spending more time in nature.

New Youth Centre Space, Same Services and Connections

The Getaway Youth Centre


Hey YOUth! Did you know that the Getaway Youth Centre is now open in its temporary new space at the Poirier administration building, 644 Poirier St.? It’s right next door. You can expect the same activities and amenities in this temporary space similar to the Getaway’s regular location.
 
Come hang out, meet friends, do homework and play video games, ping pong, pool, foosball, board games and more.  Lots of great registered programs too.

Register for an Income Tax Clinic Appointment

Phone-in Times Available until April 30


Income Tax Clinic Appointments are back! While due to current Public Health Orders, Income Tax appointments will not take place in person, seniors can still register to receive a phone call with a Canada Revenue Agency trained volunteer to help complete their 2020 income tax return.
 
Paperwork will need to be dropped off at one of the pavilions prior to your scheduled appointment.

Upgraded Sport Courts Re-open

Hickey Park in Southwest Coquitlam


Grab your racquet or hockey stick and head to the newly renovated tennis and ball hockey courts at Hickey Park (320 Hickey Dr.). Improved surfaces, lighting, nets and other upgrades await! The community is now welcome to use the outdoor sport amenities, within the current public health orders.

Adult Accessible Drop-in Sports

Come Out and Play this Month


Adults of all abilities are welcome to participate in our inclusive individual sports drop-in times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from April 13 to 29, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.) in Arena 2. Sports include basketball, soccer, floor hockey and more. Pass, shoot, score – come join us.
