PSLC Annual Maintenance Shutdown

May 31 – June 27


Heads up! The fitness centre and pool at Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.) will be closing for its annual maintenance shutdown soon. The fitness centre will be closed May 31 – June 6, reopening on June 7; and the pool will be closed May 31 – June 27, reopening on June 28.

Online registration is available 24/7 at coquitlam.ca/registration. Phone-in registration is available at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Recreation Support Available

Everyone is Welcome to Participate


With summer program registration open, do you or a family member need support to participate in a recreation camp or program? We encourage individuals of all abilities to participate in our programs – please contact the Community Services team to discuss options on how we can best support you and/or your family member. 

Please complete the Recreation Support Request Form a minimum of two weeks in advance of the program start date to allow time to discuss support options.

Spray Pads Opening May 22

Stay Cool all Summer Long


With sunshine in the forecast this weekend, cool down at our outdoor pools and spray pads – opening Saturday, May 22.

Eagle Ridge and Spani outdoor pools are accepting bookings for individual and family swims. Pre-registration is required and available 48-hours in advance.

Coquitlam Express Hockey Camps

Get Ready for the Fall


Don’t let your skills get rusty over the summer! Register for Coquitlam Express Hockey Camps. In addition to on-ice work, players receive dryland training, a tour of the facility, as well as an education seminar.
 
U11 for ages 9 to 10 runs Monday, August 16 – Friday, August 20, 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

U13 for ages 11 to 12 runs Monday, August 16 – Friday, August 20, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Garden Club Plant Sale

Dogwood Garden Club and Park Spark


Looking to add some plants to your summer garden? Join the Park Spark team and the Dogwood Garden Club for the annual plant sale on Saturday, June 12 at Hillcrest Middle School (2161 Regan Ave). The group’s members are selling perennials and many other amazing plants from their gardens. Admission is free but pre-registration is required.

Join one of the Coquitlam Public Library’s Summer Reading Clubs.
 
There are three different clubs this year:

  • B.C. Summer Reading Club for Kids

  • Middle Schoolers Summer Reading Club

  • Adult and Teens Summer Reading Club

Can’t make it to your weight room session, or pool or skating activity? Please don’t waste your space. It’s okay if you can’t make it, but please withdraw from your pre-registered activity by calling 604-927-4386 during hours of operation or cancel online and give someone on the waitlist the opportunity to be active.
