General Recreation and Fitness

  • Monday, Nov. 29 – Programs visible online
  • Wednesday, Dec. 1 – Online registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 2 – Phone-in and in-person registration begins at 8:30 a.m.


Online registration is available 24/7 at coquitlam.ca/registration. Phone-in registration is available at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Low-Impact Fitness Programs

Barre, Chair Yoga, Essentrics and More


Start your new year off with beginner-friendly low-impact fitness programs. Check out Barre, with its ballet-inspired moves and elements of dance, Pilates and muscular conditioning; Chair Yoga is a great way to achieve mental and physical fitness, learn yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation all while sitting in a chair; and Essentrics Forever Painless, a program that focuses on relieving chronic pain through gentle movement.

Introduce your child to the world of art, allow movement in a fun and playful environment, and encourage them to explore their creativity in Early Years programs starting in January. Check out Creative Dance, Gymnastics, Little Artists and Chefs, Soccer and more. Please note, adult participation is required for these programs.

Fitness 4 U & Baby Programs

Bootcamp, Cycle and Yoga


Looking to keep fit and bring your baby with you? We have three “4 U & Baby” programs starting in January and February. Take time for you and baby to bond during a strength and cardio class in Bootcamp, support your health recovery and meet other parents in Cycle, and relax and breathe while focusing on strengthening your abs, back and shoulders with the help of your baby in Yoga.
 
For these programs, moms must be at least eight-weeks postpartum and babies pre-mobile.
 
4 U & BABY

Learn FUNdamental Skills


Our kids dance, gymnastics and sports programs help teach children the FUNdamental movement skills required for life-long sport participation. Programs offered include Ballet, Ball Hockey, Basketball, Gymnastics, Hip Hop, Soccer and more.
