Spring 2022 Recreation Programs

Register Now for Skating and Swimming


Spring 2022 skating and swimming programs are now open for registration. Sign up online at coquitlam.ca/registration; phone 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; or register in person during facility operating hours.
 
General recreation and fitness program registration will be available Wednesday, March 2, with programs visible online by Monday, Feb. 28.

Improvements Coming to Town Centre Park

New Garden Walk at Lafarge Lake Loop Trail


If you’re visiting Town Centre Park, you can look forward to new pathways, garden beds and seating as construction gets underway at the Lafarge Lake Loop Trail. Guided by the Town Centre Park Master Plan, a Garden Walk on the east side and an Urban Walk on the west side of the lake will be the focus of the current upgrades. Improvements include new garden beds and pathways, new seating, repaving of existing pathways and upgrades to lighting to improve accessibility and visibility of the area.

Special Skates in February

Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex

 
Join us for special drop-in themed-skates this month at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex. No pre-registration is required—skates are first come, first served. Family Rates apply, unless otherwise specified.


  • Winter Olympic Celebration Skates – Sunday, Feb. 6,  1:15 – 2:30 p.m. / 2:45 – 4 p.m. Join the Coquitlam Express and dress up to represent the country you're cheering for!
  • Family Day Skates – Monday, Feb. 21, 10:30 –11:45 a.m. / 12 – 1:15 p.m. / 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. An outing for the whole family, spend some quality time together building memories on the ice.
  • Pink Shirt Day Toonie Skate – Wednesday, Feb. 23, 6:45 – 8 p.m. Wear your Pink Shirt and join the skate against bullying. Toonie admission includes rentals.

There are lots of ways to get involved – become a Park Spark volunteer, involve your business, community group or school in a fun park project, help take care of a park on your own schedule, and much more!
