Canada Day in Coquitlam

Town Centre Park

Coquitlam recognizes that Canada Day can mean different things for different members of our community. As a result, we’ve adapted the July 1 event to provide a day that is sensitive to the diverse range of community perspectives.

Canada Day in Coquitlam is a safe and inclusive family-friendly event with a wide range of entertainment, multicultural performances, fireworks, food, fun activities and opportunities to learn more about Canadian and pre-colonial Indigenous history.

Click the link below for more info, including the event schedule, description of activities, food and drink options, resources for learning, and more.

Special thanks to our presenting partner, Marcon.

New and Improved Vehicle

The Coquitlam Public Library’s new and improved mobile library will be visiting Coquitlam neighbourhoods next year. Earlier this week, Council approved the purchase of a replacement for the existing Coquitlam Public Library’s Library Link vehicle, which has reached the end of its life.

The new vehicle will feature several enhancements, including a larger collection of space and storage; improved workspaces to allow for longer community stops; improved HVAC system and generator; and a hybrid electric booster to make the vehicle more environmentally-friendly.
