General Recreation and Fitness Registration Starts Soon

  • Monday, Aug. 15 – Programs are viewable online at 8:30 a.m.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 17 – Online, phone-in and in-person registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

 
Online registration is available 24/7 at coquitlam.ca/registration. Phone-in registration is available at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Did you hear? Coquitlam’s newest neighbourhood park is now open and ready for summertime fun! Sheffield Park features children’s play areas, a spray park, an area for youth with basketball hoops and a skateboard park, washrooms, free Wi-Fi and gorgeous views.

Kaleidoscope Arts Festival

 
Coquitlam’s Kaleidoscope Arts Festival offers in-person performances and immersive activities at three locations Aug. 19 to 21. Look forward to captivating arts and culture experiences, with free admission, award-winning musicians, dance performances, Indigenous and cultural education, workshops, kids activities and more.

Thanks to the support of this year’s Kaleidoscope music partner, TD Bank Group, Coquitlam is excited to bring two-time JUNO award winning songwriter and musician Dan Mangan to the TD Community Plaza stage.

Summer Concert Series

 
We rocked out on July 15, and now we’re looking forward to swingin’ the evening away at Jazz Night. Musical guests are lighting up the TD Community Plaza Stage for the Summer Concert Series tomorrow and Sept. 2 from 6 – 9 p.m., with the support of presenting partner Coquitlam Centre. 

Look forward to these great performances:

  • Aug. 5: Jazz Night – Diane Lines and Sweetpea Swing Band

  • Sept. 2: Pop Night – Ashley Pater and Queer As Funk

Try out new sports, discover what local sports groups have to offer and find fun ways to stay active at Coquitlam’s Sports Fair on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 1 – 3 p.m. at North Field #6 in Town Centre Park.

Twenty-one sports groups will take part, including BC Aquasonics, Blind Sports BC, Coquitlam Express, Special Olympics Coquitlam, TORCA – Tri-Cities Off Road Cycling Association, Windies Sports & Cultural Association and many more.

Kids Can Have Fun Outdoor this Summer

 
Looking for outdoor activities for your kids? Check out free Nature Play drop-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays until Aug. 18 for children 6 – 10 years old. Unplug, get outdoors and explore nature through themed games, unstructured play, art and construction.
