Access Support (Supervised Visitation) Program

Agency / Organization:
Westcoast Family Centres Society

Program Description:
Sometimes children live apart from their parents, but still see them regularly. The Access Support Program offers Access Support Workers to supervise these types of visits and, where needed, transport children to and from the visit. They also relay any important observations back to the referring Social Worker.

Mainly English; if it cannot be arranged for the family to have a worker who speaks their language, interpreters can be assigned through MCFD.

Client Profile / Eligibility Criteria:
Access Support services require a referral from and ongoing involvement of a Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) Social Worker.

Registration Information:
Must have a referral; see above.

Start Dates / Duration:

Program Fee:
No cost for MCFD referred clients.

For separated families wanting supervised visits with their children, we can arrange Fee for Service workers when a Social Worker is not involved with the parent. See the Family T.I.E.S information area at our website for more details.
