Coquitlam Residents Highly Satisfied

COQUITLAM, BC, July 19, 2016 – The results of Coquitlam’s 2016 Citizen Survey are in and, on the whole, residents are highly-satisfied.

The survey, conducted by Ipsos-Reid, asked a range of questions around quality of life, important issues, City services and financial planning. The survey also included information about communication and community engagement. The statistically-valid results provide sound insight into what the City is doing well, areas for improvement, and changing or emerging trends.

On the whole, Coquitlam residents are highly-satisfied: 

  • 98% said they have a good quality of life;
  • 97% said they are satisfied with the level and quality of City services; and
  • 86% said they receive good value for their tax dollars – 3% higher than the Lower Mainland average and 5% higher than the B.C. average.

The results of the survey help to inform future corporate planning processes, including budgeting, strategic planning, and business planning.
