Have Your Say on Coquitlam’s 2017 Budget Before October 1

by Heather Escaravage |

COQUITLAM, BC, Sept. 20, 2016 – Residents hoping to share their input on the City of Coquitlam’s 2017 budget have just a few days left to do so.

The online Citizen Budget tool has been available since September 1 at www.coquitlam.ca/budget. The easy-to-follow process takes an estimated 8 minutes or less and can be completed online on both desktop and mobile devices.

The tool allows Coquitlam residents and businesses to provide important feedback, while also showing how each City service – and changes to funding those services – directly impacts their property tax bill.

Input received directly informs the City’s 2017 financial planning process.

Those who complete the survey can also share their budget on social media to encourage others to participate.

The online budget tool will be closed for input on Saturday, Oct. 1. Results will be presented to Council during the budget deliberations to be held in November 2016.
