Top Partner Spot Available for Canada Day

COQUITLAM, BC, May 10, 2017 – Businesses are flocking to be part of Coquitlam Celebrates Canada Day this year, but the top spot – the Fireworks/Presenting Partner – is still up for grabs.

A dozen businesses have already signed up to sponsor what is typically the Tri-Cities’ largest Canada Day event, attracting more than 70,000 people to Town Centre Park each year with a day of entertainment, multicultural activities, food, beverages, and a spectacular fireworks finale over Lafarge Lake. 

Named one of Metro Vancouver’s 20 best festivals by Business in Vancouver, this year’s ninth annual event will be steps from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain station and is expected to attract not only local crowds but people from throughout the region. The free festival will run from 12 to 10:30 p.m. and showcase live acts throughout the day at the lakeside Town Centre Park Plaza. Special activities are also planned this year to mark Canada’s 150th birthday.

Partnership opportunities are available at all levels, including the prestigious Fireworks/Presenting Partner spot, which enjoys the greatest promotional opportunity, including branding of volunteer t-shirts and being aligned with the headlining act and fireworks finale, when attendance is the highest. The Fireworks/Presenting Partner has a strong site-wide presence throughout the day, receives extensive pre- and post-event promotion, and is the only partner to access the exclusive VIP fireworks viewing area.

So far, this year’s partners include: Plaza Partner - TD Bank Group; Eat Street Partner -Coquitlam Chrysler; Watering Hole Partner - Hearthstone Brewery; Major Partners -Coquitlam Centre, Heliwood Media, Lafarge, Noura Homes and Onni; Adventure Park Partner - Noura Homes; Entertainment Partner - The Giggle Dam; Bike Valet Partner - Cap’s Westwood Cycle; and Community Partners - Brett Ryan Studios, Europa Language School, Foxridge Homes, Mr. Lube, Polygon Homes and Save-On Foods.
Coquitlam’s Corporate Partners program offers businesses the opportunity to align themselves with signature civic events in exchange for financial and in-kind support that offsets the cost of City services and programs.  

Benefits for Canada Day partners include up to 11 hours of direct public exposure on event day to a large and diverse audience, a variety of on-site marketing opportunities (e.g. signage, product giveaways, announcements and promotional booths), and recognition in Canada Day marketing, online and in print.
