Construction Begins at Two Coquitlam Parks

COQUITLAM, BC, May 15, 2017 – Park users are advised that construction is beginning the week of May 15 at two Coquitlam parks.

Town Centre Park Infrastructure Upgrade
What: enhancements to water and electrical supply to the area north of the Plaza.
When: beginning the week of May 15; anticipated completion before Canada Day (July 1).
Impacts: some parking stalls will be used for equipment in Parking Lot D off Pipeline Road near the tennis courts; trails may be impacted – workers will direct detours; bike park will be closed for two-to-three days during the week of May 15.

Mountain View Park
What: improvements to the park including new playground area, picnic shelter, washroom building, pathways and paved parking.
When: beginning the week of May 15 and continuing until fall 2017.
Impacts: washroom building will be closed, but portable washrooms will be on site; parking lot closed for the duration of construction (on street parking permitted); lacrosse box will remain open.
