Register July 26 for all Rec Programs in Coquitlam

by Heather Escaravage |

COQUITLAM, BC, July 20, 2017 – Coquitlam will introduce a convenient, streamlined registration process for its recreation programs on July 26.

Registration opens July 26 for all Coquitlam recreation programs for all ages and facilities – replacing the previous system of three different registration days for general programs, aquatic programs and 50+ programs.

The improvement is part of the City’s switch to a single all-in-one Program Guide for fall 2017 that brings together content from three previous guides: the main Program Guide, aquatics guide and 50+ programs guide. Registration dates were previously tied to each guide’s unique publication dates.

The new online guide can now be viewed on the Program Guides webpage and printed copies can be picked up at Coquitlam recreation facilities as of July 24. The guide is no longer being delivered to each household through the newspaper.

The new design is modern, user-friendly and ad-free, with the online version offering additional video and digital content, and the printed version using high quality paper and full-colour production (compared to the previous two-colour guides).

The change to three publications per year from four will allow residents to plan further ahead. The fall guide covers September to December 2017, and upcoming editions will cover winter/spring (January to April) and spring/summer (May to August).

The reduced print run, merging of three guides, and change in publication schedule will translate into about 17.5 million fewer printed pages per year.

Details about program registration can be found on the Registration webpage. Online registration at www.signmeup.coquitlam.ca will begin July 26 at 12 a.m., and phone and in-person registration for fall and winter programs will begin at 6 a.m.
The registration line is 604-927-4386.
