Register Nov. 8 for all Rec Programs in Coquitlam

by User Not Found |

COQUITLAM, BC, Nov. 1, 2017 – Coquitlam continues its convenient, streamlined registration process for on Nov. 8 for all winter and spring recreation programs.

Registration opens Nov. 8 for all Coquitlam recreation programs for all ages and facilities – replacing the previous system of three different registration days for general programs, aquatic programs and 50+ programs.

The improvement, first implemented for fall 2017 registration, is part of the City’s switch to a single all-in-one Program Guide that brings together content from three previous guides: the main Program Guide, aquatics guide and 50+ programs guide. Registration dates were previously tied to each guide’s unique publication dates.

The guide can now be viewed at coquitlam.ca/programguide and printed copies can be picked up at Coquitlam recreation facilities as of Monday, Nov. 6. The guide is no longer being delivered to each household through the newspaper.

The new design is modern, user-friendly and ad-free, with the online version offering additional video and digital content, and the printed version using high quality paper and full-colour production (compared to the previous two-colour guides).

The change to three publications per year from four will allow residents to plan further ahead. The winter/spring guide covers programs from January to April 2018, and upcoming editions will cover spring/summer (May to August) and fall (September to December).

The reduced print run, merging of three guides, and change in publication schedule will translate into about 17.5 million fewer printed pages per year.

Details about program registration can be found at coquitlam.ca/registration. Online registration at signmeup.coquitlam.ca will begin Nov. 8 at 12 a.m., and phone and in-person registration for fall and winter programs will begin at 6 a.m. The registration line is 604-927-4386.
