​Family Day in the Park

COQUITLAM, B.C., Feb. 1, 2019 – Coquitlam’s Park Spark team have planned some great activities for you to spend the Family Day long weekend connecting with nature and your family. 

Drop by Town Centre Park on Saturday, Feb. 16 between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to participate in these free activities:

  • Seed Swap: Bring some seeds from home to swap with others learn how you can start your own garden at home—no matter how big or small your space is!
  • Apple Tasting: Compare the different varieties of apples grown here in B.C.
  • Fairy Garden: Connect with nature as your explore natural materials and create your own fairy garden.
  • Pop-up Library: Bring your used books to donate to our pop-up library or choose a new one to read and enjoy a reflective moment in the park.

The event will be located at the south entrance of Percy Perry Stadium, near the concession stand. Parking is available throughout Town Centre Park; the closest parking lot is Lot C. The area is easily accessible by transit—get off at the at Lafarge Lake-Douglas station on the Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line.
