Last Chance for 2019 Utility Payments

by Rebecca Vaughan |

COQUITLAM, BC, March 26, 2018 – There are a few days left to pay utility fees before the April 1 deadline.

After April 1, a five per cent penalty will be added to amounts unpaid. A further five per cent penalty is added to unpaid amounts on Sept. 30.

Utility bills were issued at the end of February and cover the costs for utilities that residents use in their homes every day, such as water service, garbage and green waste collection, and sewer service for residences with secondary suites.

The cost for these utility services is charged separately from property taxes and supports operating costs as well as the replacement of aging infrastructure such as pipes, reservoirs, pumps and more.
