Info Session Links Businesses to Resources

COQUITLAM, BC, April 1, 2019 – Local business owners are invited to join the City of Coquitlam’s Small Business Information Session on Wednesday, April 17 from 5-7 p.m. at City Hall.

The free session brings together related government and service organizations aimed at helping small businesses succeed in Coquitlam, all in one convenient location. Participating agencies include the Better Business Bureau, Business Development Bank of Canada, City of Port Coquitlam, City of Port Moody, Douglas College, Fraser Health, Futurpreneur Canada, ISS of BC, S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Small Business BC, and the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.

It’s also an opportunity to become familiar with the City’s Business LinQ service, which helps existing and prospective business owners connect to City resources, get help starting a business and navigate City processes.

About Business LinQ
Coquitlam’s Business LinQ resource centre offers local business owners a convenient way to link to resources and get help with navigating City processes.

The service is free of charge, and can be used to:

  • Learn what is required to start and operate a business in Coquitlam;
  • Get one-on-one guidance on City permitting and regulatory processes – including licensing, zoning, inspections, and building, plumbing and sign permits; and
  • Find out about City services and programs that support businesses, including the Economic Development Office.
